Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 14 July 2025 · Effective Date: 14 July 2025
1. Definitions
- "Neurokiln", "we", "us", "our" — the business operating the website and programmes at Jalan Kelawei 76, 10250 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
- "Stage" — one of the three educational programmes offered by Neurokiln: Preparation Stage, Model Building Stage, or Practitioner Stage with Industry Brief.
- "Learner", "you" — any individual who enrols in, enquires about, or accesses materials related to a Neurokiln stage.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions together with our Privacy Policy and any enrolment confirmation.
- "Completion Record" — the document issued by Neurokiln upon completion of a stage listing topics covered and, in Stage 3, the delivered work.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry form, making payment or accessing any stage materials, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol. By agreeing, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement under Malaysian law.
3. Service Description
Neurokiln delivers online AI development education in three sequential stages. All stages are delivered online. Learners may access live sessions, recorded materials and feedback through the channels specified at enrolment. There is no requirement to be located in Malaysia to enrol, but all materials are in English.
Stage availability depends on cohort scheduling. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a cohort where enrolment numbers or partner circumstances require it. We will notify affected learners as soon as practicable and offer an alternative cohort or a full refund where applicable.
4. Enrolment
Submission of an enquiry form does not constitute enrolment. Enrolment is confirmed when we accept your application and payment is received. We review applications before confirming places and may decline to confirm an enrolment if, in our assessment, the background information provided suggests the stage is not appropriate for your current level.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login details issued for session platforms. You must not share access credentials with others.
5. Learner Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Engage with stage materials for your own learning only
- Not reproduce, distribute or sell stage materials including session recordings, exercises or feedback
- Not submit work as your own that was produced by another person or by an AI tool without disclosure
- Treat fellow cohort members, mentors and partner contacts with respect in all sessions and communication
- Not share access to stage platforms or sessions with persons who are not enrolled
Breach of these responsibilities may result in removal from the stage without refund.
6. Intellectual Property
All stage materials, including recorded sessions, exercises, feedback templates and curriculum documents, are the intellectual property of Neurokiln. Your enrolment grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use these materials for your own learning during the relevant stage period.
Work you produce during a stage — including your project in Stage 2 — remains your intellectual property. By submitting it for review you grant Neurokiln permission to use anonymised descriptions of the work in aggregate reporting about programme outcomes, with no personal attribution.
7. Payment
All fees are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Payment details are provided upon enrolment confirmation. Access to stage materials is granted upon receipt of full payment.
Refund policy
Requests for refund received before the stage start date: full refund less any payment processing fees.
Requests received within the first two weeks of a stage that has started: 50% refund.
Requests received after the first two weeks of a stage that has started: no refund.
Where Neurokiln cancels a cohort, a full refund is provided or an alternative cohort is offered.
8. Stage-Specific Terms
Completion Records
Completion Records are issued to learners who complete all required exercises and attend the minimum proportion of live sessions specified at enrolment. Records are issued to the named learner only. A Completion Record is an internal document issued by Neurokiln and does not constitute an externally accredited qualification.
Stage 3 — Partner Brief
Materials and data provided under the Stage 3 partner brief are confidential. Learners must not share brief materials, partner data or partner contact details outside the enrolled team. The partner's written brief governs the scope of work; changes to scope require agreement from both Neurokiln and the partner contact.
9. Disclaimers
Stages are provided as educational programmes. We do not represent that completion of any stage will lead to employment, salary change, or specific professional outcome. Completion Records describe work completed, not outcomes. We do not claim that any stage is accredited by an external body unless explicitly stated.
Materials are provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge at the time of production. The field of AI development changes rapidly; we update materials between cohorts but cannot guarantee that all content reflects the most current available practice at any given moment.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Neurokiln's total liability to you in connection with any stage or these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that stage.
We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or incidental loss, including loss of income, loss of data or loss of professional opportunity, arising from your use of or participation in any stage. This exclusion does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law, including liability for fraud.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Neurokiln against any claim, loss or damage arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of stage materials in an unauthorised manner, or any misrepresentation you make in connection with your enrolment.
12. Termination
You may withdraw from a stage at any time by notifying us in writing. The refund policy in Section 7 applies. Neurokiln may remove a learner from a stage for breach of Section 5 (Learner Responsibilities). In the case of removal for breach, no refund is issued.
Sections 6, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination of enrolment or these Terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising shall first be addressed through informal resolution: contact us at [email protected] and we will endeavour to resolve the matter within 30 days.
If informal resolution is not achieved, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pulau Pinang, Malaysia, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Neurokiln regarding a stage.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign your enrolment or rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our obligations where we transfer the business to a successor.
- Notices: Notices from you to us should be sent to [email protected]. Notices from us to you will be sent to the email address provided at enrolment.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised Last Updated date. Where changes materially affect enrolled learners, we will notify you by email. Continued participation in a stage following notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
